This Privacy Policy explains how Secure Pad - Private Vault ("we", "our", or "the App") operates and handles your data. Our primary commitment is to your absolute privacy and security.

1. The "Zero Data Collection" Guarantee

Secure Pad is intentionally engineered with a strict offline-first, zero-knowledge architecture. This means:

• We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your notes, files, passwords, images, tables, or metadata on any external cloud or server whatsoever.
• Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly and manually choose to export or share it through your device's native sharing menus.
• We do not employ any analytics tracking, crashlytics, usage telemetry, or silent background network calls. The application is completely isolated from the internet.

2. Data Encryption and Storage

All sensitive information you choose to protect within the App is encrypted and decrypted locally on your device using military-grade AES-256 encryption.

Important Note on Passwords: Because we do not have servers, databases, or online syncing mechanisms, we do not know your passcodes. If you forget your passcode, it is mathematically impossible for us (or anyone else) to recover your encrypted data.

3. Device Permissions Explained

To provide its core utility, Secure Pad requires the following local device permissions. All data fetched via these permissions is processed 100% offline within the secure sandbox of your phone:

• Camera / Photos: Required if you choose to attach images to your notes, use the built-in OCR (Optical Character Recognition) feature, or apply LSB Steganography. All image processing and text extraction is executed offline through on-device Machine Learning.
• Storage / Files: Necessary to allow you to import external binary files, embed documents into the vault, generate CSV/PDF tables, and export/import fully encrypted `.securepad` JSON backups to your local file system.

4. Children's Privacy

Our application operates entirely offline and does not collect any personal information from anyone, including individuals under the age of 13.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect new offline features (e.g. new types of biometric locks). However, our core philosophy of absolute privacy and zero telemetry will never change.
